2015 Season

We are excited about our 13th season, which begins with our annual fundraising concert at the Belhurst Castle, continues with 7 spring and summer concerts, and ends with our fall post-season concert. As always, we will have a mix of old and new, classic and pop, and a sprinkling of surprises to delight and challenge.

Sunday, March 15, noon. Spring Into the Season (Belhurst Castle)

 

Our annual fundraiser concert with brunch at this wonderful Finger Lakes landmark. The program will include classical, baroque, and jazz selections with both electric and acoustic instruments. Tickets for this event are sold separately from regular season concerts below.

 

Saturday, June 13, 7:30 P.M. Going Baroque (Hunt Country Vineyards)

 

The regular season kicks off with a selection of Baroque masterpieces by Bach, Corelli, and Telemann. In addition to strings, the ensemble will include guest performers on the harpsichord and flute.

 

Sunday, July 5, 7:30 P.M. An Evening At the Museum (Glenn Curtiss Museum)

 

Our annual concert at the Curtiss Museum is a wonderful way for locals to wind down the July 4th weekend, and a great excuse for out-of-towners to extend the weekend. The program will feature a mix of classical, Americana, and Broadway tunes by Copland, Gershwin, Leroy Anderson, Jerry Goldsmith and Piazzola. Also on the program: Richard Auldon Clark,  "Autumn Suite."

 

Saturday, July 11, 7:30 P.M. Art Inspires Music (Keuka College Lightner Library)

 

This innovative program will feature a series of original compositions inspired by creative works of local artists., along with
the "Finger Lakes Suite" by Richard Auldon Clark. The opening work will be Dvořák String Quintet in E flat .

 

Wednesday, July 15, 6:30 P.M. Bach to Rock (Penn Yan Courthouse Lawn)

 

Our annual lawn concert, part of the Wednesday Courthouse series, returns to Penn Yan, including our always popular electric violins, along with double bass, keyboard. and vocalist

 

Saturday, July 18, 7:30 P.M. Piano Takes Center Stage, [Penn Yan Academy]

 

Two lovely and powerful Piano Quartets make up this program: the Brahms C minor and Dvořák E Flat major.

 

Saturday, July 25, 7:30 P.M. A Plucky Concert, (Ravines Winery on Keuka Lake)

 

The harp is featured in music by Ibert, and Debussy, along with "American Bagatelles" by Richard Auldon Clark, which premiered at Carnegie Hall.

 

Saturday, August 1, 7:30 P.M. On Wings of Song, (Hunt Country Vineyards)

 

The quartet plus a guest baritone Thomas Goodheart perform Samuel Barber's "Dover Beach" and "Frederick Douglass" by music director Richard Auldon Clark.

 

Saturday, October 31, time TBA, Halloween Concert (Ravines in Geneva]

 

A Halloween Spooktacular, feature music to pair with our annual apooky holiday,
